PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of IT is responsible for information technology strategy and operations including: end point device management; networking and infrastructure; data management; software licensing and updates; O365; cyber security; business continuity; intranet; voice and video; remote access; and business applications licensing and management.

This position is responsible for establishing and implementing the strategic vision and goals for all IT initiatives. He or she will lead all aspects of IT strategy, operations, and maintenance needed to support the business and to create and maintain a stable, scalable IT infrastructure. The Director of IT will recognize the information needs, provide state-of-the-art solutions to business problems, and lead the IT organization to effectively support all functional areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and oversees the implementation of a strategic plan for IT that aligns with the business needs.
  • Build, manage and mentor the IT team.
  • Provide day to day IT support for a geographically distributed team
  • Set standards for end point devices and establish policies and procedure for managing the devices
  • Define a unified strategy for data management and identify relevant supporting tools and technologies for effective sharing of data across the entire company.
  • Work with the CSO to establish and enforce security policies and also implement a business continuity plan for the IT infrastructure
  • Manage the internal network, servers and voice/video infrastructure
  • Define the Intranet strategy and build out the internal portal
  • Define and implement the unified communication strategy
  • Vendor management for hardware and software purchases
  • Day to day management of all the business applications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Minimum of ten years IT experience with at least five years in a managerial role
  • Experience in managing a geographically distributed team
  • Experience with O365, Salesforce, Jira, Confluence and other cloud-based applications
  • Experience with end point device management
  • Experience in defining a unified data management policy and setting up and managing the Intranet
  • Must have worked on configuring, managing and troubleshooting network devices, servers and voice/video infrastructure
  • Good understanding of network security principles
  • Must be able to get things done proactively with minimum supervision
  • Good communication and documentation skills
