Introduction

This case study of a medium enterprise industrial manufacturing company is based on a March 2021 survey of Aryaka Networks customers by TechValidate, a 3rd-party research service. The profiled company asked to have their name blinded to protect their confidentiality.

Aryaka stabilized our connection to our Singapore site, enabling them to fully collaborate with our home office. We also used Aryaka to bring two other sites online in a fraction of the time that it would have taken previously to set up the sites with our older technologies. Our users are spoiled by how fast our Microsoft Express routes are through Aryaka. Before Aryaka, email was much slower. This really helped us validate the importance of Aryaka’s services for our business.

The Challenge

Prior to deploying Aryaka, the profiled manufacturing company was experiencing slow, unreliable application performance globally, particularly for their remote users and China-based users. Additionally, their existing MPLS network was costly.

Use Case

The manufacturing company needed to transform their WAN in order to solve these issues and:

  • Improve application performance globally, including connectivity to China
  • Enable digital transformation initiatives
  • Enable multi-cloud connectivity
  • Enable remote users
Results

After deploying Aryaka SmartServices, the surveyed company achieved the following results:

  • Accelerated global application performance, including faster connectivity to Microsoft 365
  • Stable, reliable connectivity for end-users globally, including remote users and China-based users
  • Increased productivity and improved collaboration among end-users

In addition to these network performance improvements, transitioning to Aryaka’s SD-WAN solution also enabled the company to more easily:

  • Adopt emerging technologies
  • Adopt cloud-based and SaaS applications
  • Enable quicker deployments and set up new sites efficiently
  • Accelerate digital transformation projects

Lastly, by selecting a managed service, the IT organization was able to save both time and budget:

  • Decreased network TCO by decreasing hardware and transport costs
  • Saved an estimated 10-25% of valuable IT resources’ time, allowing the IT
organization to focus on other priorities
