Albemarle Corporation is a Fortune 1000 company that is the leading global producer of Lithium, Bromine and Catalyst solutions. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, they operate facilities all around the world, employing more than 5,000 people and serving customers in more than 100 countries.

Prior to working with Aryaka, Albemarle had been relying on their standard internet service provider to operate and access applications. Performance wasn’t guaranteed to a satisfactory level and would be inadequate for cloud adoption and future company growth.

The Albemarle team needed a more reliable, flexible, and powerful solution to adopt cloud technology, specifically Microsoft 365 and Teams. They also had a variety of disparate last mile contracts worldwide that were increasingly time consuming to manage in house.

The initial solution (2018) was to route traffic through Aryaka’s network to Microsoft’s platform, which led to a major improvement in performance for Office 365 and other core applications.

Aryaka took on last mile services in 2020 to consolidate contracts across several global regions, alleviating a significant burden of management on Albemarle’s in-house team.

Albemarle also recently converted to Aryaka’s ‘T-shirt’ model, offering enhanced flexibility to upgrade subscribed bandwidth to whatever meets their needs worldwide with very competitive pricing.
