Award reflects company’s focus on employee well-being and diversity

San Mateo, CA. – March 10, 2022 – Aryaka®, the leader in fully managed SD-WAN and SASE solutions, announced today its designation as a Great Place to Work-Certified™ company for the third year in a row. Using a rigorous, data-driven methodology, Great Place to Work validated Aryaka employee feedback with a focus on two key areas – diversity, and work-life balance.

Diversity ratings increased from prior years, with over 95 percent stating that employees are treated fairly, regardless of age, gender, race, or sexual orientation. This is on the back of Aryaka’s partnerships with Valance, supporting black professionals, Techqueria, serving the largest global community of Latinx professionals in tech, and Girls Who Code, building the world’s largest pipeline of future female engineers. The company is also an active participant in Pinkathon, an annual walkathon supporting the breast cancer research foundation.

To help ensure Aryaka employees have a good work-life balance, at the beginning of the pandemic, the company instituted ‘Wellness Days.’ These span a total of two weeks across the year where the company is closed, encouraging employees to take care of their physical and mental health. In Bangalore, Covid-related work-life balance initiatives included a 24×7 hospital pick up and drop off facility driven by colleagues as ambulances were frequently unavailable, the creation of a Covid handbook for emergency guidance, and round-the-clock support to employees and their families during the hospital admission, treatment, and discharge phases. In addition to providing employees with virtual Zumba and yoga sessions, Aryaka has shared webinars on strengthening mental health, dealing with diabetes, and provided education around HIV/AIDS and COVID.

These company initiatives were identified by employees as being instrumental to their job satisfaction. In the anonymous survey one employee said, “(During the pandemic, Aryaka) went out of their way to provide help in coping with change [mental health off days, meditation sessions during all-hands meetings, continuing work-from-home, and hybrid work models even when not required by the state, etc.]. This exec team does more for their team’s well-being than most employers I’ve worked for in the past 25 years.”

Separate from the above themes, the company’s overall customer experience remains a key differentiator for the company, with 96 percent stating that “Our customers would rate the service we deliver as excellent,” and 93 percent stating they feel welcome when joining Aryaka.

“I have always been a firm believer that a workplace that successfully integrates a positive company culture with diversity, a propensity for collaboration, and a work-life balance that enables teams to positively engage with our customers would lead to great talent retention,” said Matt Carter, CEO at Aryaka. “It is an honor to be recognized by Great Place to Work for the third year in a row.”

“The silver lining as we emerge from the pandemic has been our increased focus on employee health and well-being, both physically and mentally,” said Michelle Mitchell, Chief Human Resources Officer at Aryaka. “I have always been a huge proponent of employee mental health and wellness, so it is refreshing to see it in the spotlight for Aryaka. Being a successful company isn’t possible without the support of our people, and I’m privileged to be driving several initiatives to help make a difference in the lives of Aryakans.”
