SD-WAN market leader Aryaka explores industry - academia research collaboration models
BENGALURU, INDIA – March 27, 2018: Aryaka®, the leading global SD-WAN provider, and National Institute of Technology, Calicut, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on research projects to further enhance performance of SD-WAN solutions. The collaboration will allow NIT-Calicut to leverage Aryaka’s technological leadership and expertise in SD-WAN and cloud networking to conduct research in these areas.
“New, disruptive technologies require fresh ideas and innovative thinking and working with the faculty and scholars of NIT-Calicut will allow us to push the boundaries of what is possible. The collaboration will help us to further enhance our technologies and identify new use cases for which skills in cloud networking are essential,” said Naveen Maveli, Vice President of Engineering at Aryaka.
Under the collaboration faculty members and research scholars from the Computer Science and Engineering Department of NIT Calicut will work with Aryaka, in India, to develop software modules for SD-WAN based on optimization algorithms.

The collaboration will provide vital exposure to our students and enable them to put theoretical topics to practical use as they attempt to find solutions to complex problems in the SD-WAN and cloud networking spaces”, said Dr. Sivaji Chakravorti, Director of NIT Calicut.
