Aryaka is building a globally distributed and cloud-based network infrastructure that’s oriented toward transporting enterprise data quickly across long distances. It claims it can simplify the management of long-distance connections within an enterprise’s network while also providing faster and more reliable connectivity for applications, devices and public cloud infrastructure.

A lot has changed since we last wrote about Aryaka in March 2017. At the time, the company’s main story was software defined wide-area networking (SD-WAN). In the intervening time, SD-WAN has largely been subsumed into the secure access service edge (SASE) category, which also includes web application firewall (WAF) functionality.

Aryaka’s AppAssure routing and application performance solution will be present in all new and current POPs, providing SaaS-based application delivery across its network, according to a company announcement. Aryaka said it will also support wireless last-mile connectivity worldwide.

Aryaka is expanding its hyperscale point-of-presence (PoP) footprint to bring its core network closer to its network users and is enhancing its SD-WAN offering based on its FlexCore multi-layered traffic steering architecture.
